Leading housing and planning charity, the Town and Country Planning Association (TCPA), has published Creating Garden Cities and Suburbs a guide for councils designed to help councillors and officers bring forward communities that can deliver the future homes and jobs needed in their localities.
The guide illustrates that by adopting the Garden City approach councils can rebuild trust in the development process, offering people a better quality of life by allowing for the highest sustainability standards, economies of scale, and better use of infrastructure.
It is supported by a number of cross-sector organisations, including First Ark Group, Places for People, David Lock Associates, Mayfields New Market Town, Letchworth Garden City Heritage Foundation and The Land Trust.
